Our family has lived in the Kittitas valley for over 50 years. After 25 years at 204 North Main Street in Ellensburg, we decided to retire from the restaurant business known as Rodeo City BBQ. During these years we had the opportunity to provide catering services for Large Group Celebrations and Weddings.

Leann (owner) loved that side of the business. In her mind, she had lots of ideas and creative juices flowing for what adventure she wished to pursue next! With the support of her parents and family, they started looking at real estate that would be suitable for a Wedding Venue. This property came on to the market in July of 2018 and the move in date was the following October 1st. Purchased from two Doctors who used the property as a weekend retreat for family and friends from the Seattle area. From then on Sweetwater Ranch the Event Venue was born! 

This vision was just getting started. We spent the first couple of years dreaming, and getting the permit process rolling. We began construction in the year of 2020. For us, Covid was an opportunity to settle down and put all of our focus and energy into Sweetwater. The year of 2021, brought us our first official wedding in the newly built venue. Each year continues to bring more blessings & improvements. Making our property a sought after place to be!

This truly is our heaven on earth. Throughout the years we have been so fortunate to meet many families and get to share one of the most important days in their lives.

We are a family run business that takes such pride in serving its clients! When you are on the property we hope you feel the labor of LOVE that has gone into each detail. It is our mission to continue to improve with projects each year and making it a prosperous business for all to enjoy.
